Google Plus

So I am setup on Google+ and it is hard to judge because it is very quiet there at the moment. The interface is very slick and it doesn’t take much time at all to find your way around. Google+ is big on sharing but there are settings available to restrict who can see your content.

There is an option for video chat and there appears to be good integration with other Google apps such as Gmail. Once signed in you will also see a +1 after each search result in Google. This is similar to the Like button in Facebook.

Is there enough to drag people away from Facebook? I don’t think so at this point because of the vast amount of people on Facebook it will be hard for Google+ to catch up. But it is good to see some serious competition in this area and Facebook has already responded by anouncing a video chat service using Skype technology. Maybe my opinion will change after using the system for a while and a few of my friends have joined.

There is a demo here http://www.google.com/+/demo/
