Switching from VB.Net to C#.Net

C Sharp (programming language)

I am finally making the switch from VB.Net to C#.Net a move that is long overdue.  I have never felt the need to switch because VB.Net did everything I needed, and was easy and fast to develop with.  This is especially useful when developing prototypes.  Most experienced .Net developers appear to use C#.Net and I am also working on some Android projects in Java which has a similar feel.  So now felt like the right time to make this decision.

My first C#.Net application was a simple web form with validation sending the information to an SQL database and via email.  This project was very simple and was the ideal opportunity to get my feet wet.  All my future .Net projects will now be in C# which may slow things down initially but I think it will be worth it in the long run.

lblSucess.Visible = true;
catch (Exception except)
lblFailure.Visible = true;
lblFailure.Text += except;
dataentry.Visible = false;

For anybody else thinking about making the switch there are tons of help out there on the web including simple conversion tools that will switch between VB.Net and C#.Net.
